Super insulating glass system will be the cornerstone of Thermal Industries R-5 Window offering
Pittsburgh, PA— Thermal Industries, Inc. announced their application for the U.S. Department of Energy's Building Technologies Program’s R-5 Volume Purchase Program, scheduled to launch in Spring 2010.
Thermal Industries window product offering for the R-5 Program will feature the company’s high-energy-efficiency Super Peak Performance™ Glass, constructed of three layers of glass, two low-e coatings, krypton gas fill, and low-conductivity warm-edge spacers between the panes of glass. Super Peak Performance Glass has received the GreenSpec®-Listed designation by BuildingGreen, Inc., an independent company committed to providing accurate, unbiased, and timely information designed to help building-industry professionals and policy makers improve the environmental performance, and reduce the adverse impacts of buildings.
