Thermal Industries named nominee for ‘Green Award’

Thermal Industries, Inc. receive nomination in the Green Manufacturer (mid-sized) category of Door and Window Manufacturer (DWM) Magazine’s First Annual Green Awards.
Pittsburgh, PA—Thermal Industries, Inc., a division of Atrium, has received a nomination in the Green Manufacturer (mid-sized) category of Door and Window Manufacturer (DWM) Magazine’s First Annual Green Awards. When choosing the nominees, DWM took into account not only the energy efficient products a manufacturer offered, but also the energy-efficient practices put into place in the respective manufacturing plants and processes.
Thermal Industries was nominated for their energy-saving practices and simple philosophy that has been in place for almost 50 years: “Provide our customers with energy-efficient, maintenance-free products that help to lower their energy bill.” Such practices include recycling of vinyl, glass and aluminum scrap, along with manufacturing equipment that reduces energy consumption and provides added savings for the company and their consumers. Product-wise, the magazine recognized Thermal Industries’ exclusive Park Avenue Window Collection, a high-performance, triple pane vinyl window system.
