Thermal Industries, Inc. Releases New Impact Series Windows

Remodelers using impact-resistant products give customers prwotection from flying debris

Pittsburgh, PA-Thermal Industries has announced the limited launch in select locations of SafeHarbor®, their first impact product series of vinyl windows and patio doors. The SafeHarbor Hurricane Impact Program is an umbrella of Atrium's impact-resistant products coming together under a single Atrium brand to provide home improvement contractors and remodelers with the most comprehensive offering of impact resistant products.

SafeHarbor Product Offerings

• Windows - Thermal Industries offers a comprehensive line of vinyl SafeHarbor windows for replacement applications, including single-hung, double-hung, slider, and picture window styles. SafeHarbor Windows utilize 5/16-inch-thick glass with two layers of glass laminated with a durable, interlayer membrane.

• Patio doors - SafeHarbor patio doors are also available for replacement applications. Glass used in SafeHarbor patio doors is 7/16-inch tempered, laminated glass.

• An optional Low-E and Argon Gas package is available making the windows ENERGY STAR® qualified.

SafeHarbor Ratings and Code Compliance

The products feature DP ratings up to 55 for windows and 60 for sliding glass doors. All SafeHarbor® Impact products meet AAMA hurricane debris protocols and are approved for hurricane impact zones along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts.
